Bed Bugs - One Year On

It has been a while since my last post, bad me!
I have done so many bed bug treatments this year. I have also come across some of the worst cases I have seen since being in pest control. I have started to notice more of a resistance to some pesticides too. Luckily I am ahead of them! That is all for another post however, and I am starting afresh with
bed bugs London blog for all things bed bugs and pest control.
Essex Pest Control and Bird Control seems to spend more time in London than it does in Essex, perhaps a name change? This year if I were to give a break down of pests treated I would probably put it in the following percentage, bearing in mind that things like wasps are seasonal.
- Bed bugs 55%
- Rats and Mice 25%
- Cockroaches, Fleas, Ants, Silverfish 15%
- Wasp Nests and Proofing 5%
Bed bugs really have increased again this year for me, last year I would have probably put it at about 40% of my work. In fact, I now have to stop myself talking about bed bugs in random conversation lol.

This year the one thing that has annoyed me the most is bed bug bombs! Why do people buy these and expect results. Think about it. Smoke rising in the room. Bed bugs on clothes in wardrobe, in show box under the bed, in wood join of your box bed frame. You expect a £12.99 bomb to clear up an infestation of breeding bed bugs and wipe out that female sitting behind that picture above your bed laying her 300 eggs!?
Of course it wont, but people are still surprised when this is the result. "But we used a bed bug bomb, it said guaranteed results" I have given up explaining why they don't work, now I just hum and say they sell anything on the internet.
Right, moaning over, I am off to plan for tomorrow.
